24 Mindful Travel Companies Led by Women

Costa RicaCroatiaGlobalMexicoNew YorkTanzaniaUkraine

This Women’s History Month, we wanted to revisit of the female-founded companies that have inspired us. The providers on this list go beyond creating a memorable guest experience. They consider their impact on the environment. They support local communities. They design experiences to be immersive and culturally meaningful. Many are making travel more accessible to women and under-represented groups.

This year, we have added four women-owned travel companies in Ukraine. We hope travelers can continue to experience what they offer well into the future, and we encourage supporting these companies with ‘rain check’ bookings.

This year, we have added four women-owned travel companies in Ukraine that embody all of these values. We hope travelers can continue to experience what they offer well into the future, and we encourage supporting these companies with ‘rain check’ bookings.

Although we hoped to include enough variety on this list that everyone might find something that grabs them, we know this list only scratches the surface and look forward to sharing more adventures in the future.

Happy Women’s History Month, and happy exploring.

Why We Love It: Adriatic Luxury Journeys takes its time to show you the real Adriatic Coast. The company also ardently supports local communities.

Guided Experiences

North Shore Surf Girls

The Woman Behind It: Carol Phillips

Their annual leadership program, Northern Diversity [+], gives Alaskan locals an affordable way to experience mushing with instructors and guest speakers from the BIPOC/LGBTQ+/Women’s community.
